Is this funded by the district?
No. While the district manages facilities and infrastructure across schools, current funding priorities do not include playground replacement. This project is being led and funded by the PTO and community supporters.
When will construction begin?
Phase 1: Summer 2026
Phase 2: Summer 2027
What happens if full funding isn’t secured?
We will complete the project in phases, beginning with the revitalization of the sand box, reading zones and covered areas. Phase 2 will include the large play structure, swings and climbing logs.
Can I see the design and budget?
Yes — both are available for review.
Who is organizing the project?
The Westside Elementary PTO, with design support from Learning Landscapes and collaboration from local professionals and volunteers.
